The Lady in the Sea by Abhishek Leela Pandey
In a poem by Abhishek Leela Pandey, the sea and a woman drag the speaker in again and again, and every metaphor runs out before the pull does.

Damsel Beauty
Dashing Charm
Sea green eyes,
adore waters’ calm
Cascade hair clouds reflect
Red of her lips
Horizons connect
Waves motivate
By waistline
Rolling lady on the sea shore
Nature rejoice touch on the floor
Oft fishermen such sights see
Dolphins and Elfins joyously spree
Sky droppeth Honey Dew from heaven
I flanked her lips with kisses seven
From montane glands Honey effuse
Among all things Honey I choose
Pink lips and teeth red
To the fishes flesh I fed
Universal ether dragged me in bed
Fluid in me grew red
Hovering over me wanton smiled
I fled from there and painfully cried
Centuries have passed and so have I
Once again they play the wry
Universal ether drags me in bed
Fluid in me grows red
Hovering over me wanton smiles
I flee from there and painfully cry
Poet on cliff still confused
Metaphors and Similes are all used
But....
She still attracts my eyes
And
Of
Many
A
Fishermen
